Apoș - Copșa Mare
Copșa Mare, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, opens up – with all its known and unknown secrets –, in a narrow and spectacular valley. The parochial house awaits. Our host will serve us lunch that starts with lard bread with onions and ends with a superb cheesecake.
And this is not all. We move on to a bee honey tasting. The local priest, famous beekeeper and glass icon-painter, is happy to answer any of our questions – not only concerning honey or painting.
A visit to the fortified church is also included.
Before we say good bye we go up the tower that watches over the valley for the best vista in the village. We have a look at it in all its glory, then we get back in the saddle and take a last group photo on the endless fields, before we reach Villa Abbatis.
In Apoș there will be a camp fire and barbecue waiting for us. We’ll share stories about Demi, Vauxi, Zaraza, Leilah, Șoc, Bambina and Vera, our faithful horses that made all those memories possible.
Fee: EUR 110/pers (6h riding and 3h lunch and visit to the fortified church, entrance ticket included)
