Apoș - Biertan
The legendary trail leads us to Biertan (Birthalam).
The scenery with steep valleys and rolling hills, and sounds and colours as if taken out of Transylvanian legends, take us back to a forgotten time.
Biertan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest villages in Transylvania, going back to the 13th century.
It hosts the most important fortified church in the region: the Seat of the former Evangelic Bishop.
We’ll have lunch at Unglerus restaurant, surrounded by medieval cavalry armours and figures and then we will visit the church, where we will learn about the Saxon way of life.
Fee for day trip: EUR 110/pers (6h riding and 3h lunch and visit to the fortified church, entrance ticket included)
